Brackett Green® Dual Flow Traveling Band Screen
Get the Highest Debris-Capture Ratios in the Industry
Look no further for high-capacity debris removal from raw water intakes than the Brackett Green® Dual Flow Traveling Band Screen.
Refined through decades of research and development, these screens efficiently remove large volumes of debris and eliminate debris carry-over, protecting downstream equipment for cooling water, drinking water, and wastewater applications.
This fully automated, 24-hour debris collection, conveyance, and discharge solution provides maximum throughput and the highest debris-capture ratios in the industry.
THE PROBLEM
Efficient removal of large volumes of debris from water intakes is essential to protect critical equipment such as pumps, condensers, and heat exchangers. Traditional screening methods often struggle with issues such as debris carry-over, high-maintenance requirements, and limited screening capacities, leading to increased downtime and operational costs.
THE OVIVO SOLUTION
The Brackett Green® Dual Flow Traveling Band Screen provides a high-capacity, low-maintenance solution for debris removal.
Featuring a dual-flow pattern, these screens avoid debris carry-over and handle high debris capacities.
The S.I.M.P.L.E.® Fish Handling Screen can be integrated to safely recover and return marine life, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and best practices.
HOW IT WORKS
Water enters either side of the screen and flows through the endless band of mesh panels to the inside of the screen. Any debris captured on the outside of the mesh panel is raised to deck level by a shaft-mounted electric drive unit and ejected directly into the debris gulley by a high-pressure washing system.
If marine life is present in the intake, the screen can be designed to incorporate the S.I.M.P.L.E. fish handling screen. This screen gently collects marine fish in rotating buckets integrated into each mesh panel, where they are raised to deck level and safely discharged directly into a dedicated fish trough with a low-pressure washing system. The main chain guides and head frame assembly, complete with drive gear, are supported by a fabricated steel frame, which is assembled in sections and installed directly into the screen chamber.
