HOW IT WORKS
The Brackett Green® Single Entry Drum Screen consists of a robust drum structure with a solid horizontal center shaft, revolving slowly in heavy-duty, self-aligning double roller bearings.
Water flows from the inside to the outside of the drum through mesh panels, which are cleaned efficiently by backwashing at deck level. The screen is driven by a nylon pinion engaging with a gear ring on the drum’s exterior. The flow pattern ensures that influent enters via a single inlet port, passes radially through the screening media, and exits through two outlet ports, simplifying civil work construction.
