Waste from screens must be properly managed and discarded to prevent operational inefficiencies and increased maintenance costs. Traditional methods of handling screenings can be labor-intensive and may not effectively reduce the volume of waste.

HOW IT WORKS
The Jones + Attwood™ Screw Compactor operates while the feeding screen is running and continues for a set period after the screen is off.
Screenings are delivered through a sluice trough using screen wash water and are carried toward the discharge end by a long screw in a U-shaped perforated trough. As the screw moves the screenings, they drain and are dewatered in a compression zone. The dewatered screenings are then moved out through a discharge tube to a dumpster.
The system can also be placed directly beneath the screen discharge for immediate processing.
